Ron Burgundy took to broadcasting his sensational news stories via Twitter last night, revealing not only the new Movemberesque artwork for Anchorman: The Legend Continues but that a highly anticipated new trailer would be ready broadcast this very morning so we thought ‘What better way to start the day?’

Slated for a December 20th UK release date, Anchorman: The Legend Continues arrives almost a decade after the original Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Written and directed by Adam McKay, the man responsible for the 2004 original as well as other uproarious comedies such as Step Brothers, The Other Guys and The Campaign, the sequel finds San Diego’s top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell)  back behind the news desk after sending off the 70s. Also back are Ron’s co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), weather man Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), roving reporter Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and sports commentator Champ Kind (David Koechner) – All of whom won’t make it easy to keep classy…while taking New York’s first 24-hour news channel by storm. Other than the original Channel 4 dream team, the sequel will play host to a plethora of guest star roles and cameos featuring the likes of Harrison Ford, John C. Reilly, James Marsden, Kristen Wiig, Meagan Good, Dylan Baker, Jim Carrey, Vince Vaughn, Liam Neeson, Nicole Kidman, Sacha Baron Cohen and Kirsten Dunst and that list will most likely keep growing all the way though to the festive season.

Despite Paul Rudd’s moustache, which he specifically grew for Anchorman 2, now a thing of the past Paramount are firm belivers in Burgundy’s fanTASHtic upper lip vibrissa as can be seen in the latest promotional poster for the film, supported with the highly quotable tagline “It’s kind of a big deal.”

Sit back and let Ron Burgundy take you all to Pleasure Town in the latest trailer. And remember, a Burgunday moustache is for life, not just for this Christmas. (#SAYWHAAAT)
