Anchor Bay UK are delighted to announce that the sequel to one of the most controversial films of all time – I Spit On Your Grave 2 – will be released in UK cinemas this autumn with a special premiere at this year’s Film4 FrightFest.

Featuring British newcomer Jemma Dallender (Community) in the lead role, who follows in the footsteps of Camille Keaton from the 1978 original and Sarah Butler from 2010’s remake, I Spit On Your Grave 2 is certain to propel the franchise to new levels of fear when it arrives in UK cinemas.

Steven R.Monroe, who successfully brought the remake to the screen back in 2010, once again returns for the sequel based on a script from SAW IV writer Neil Elman.

Anchor Bay UK’s Marketing Manager Thom Leaman comments: “After launching the 2010 I Spit On Your Grave at FrightFest, there was only one place and one group of fans that we wanted to turn to for a suitable launch pad for the sequel in the UK. I Spit On Your Grave 2 is a rarity in the film world, a sequel – a horror sequel at it – that improves upon the original, and we can’t wait to unleash it on UK audiences.”

Meir Zarchi’s original became one of the most controversial films of all time and its 2010 remake became a critical and box office success.
