Breaking Bad is about to see Walt prepare his very last cook with Vamonos Pest. What that will entail is anybody’s guess. Walt could get killed off, do jail time, make a timely escape to some far off land. This list could go on as there is never any knowing which route Heisenberg will take to provide for his family. Whatever the case, all will be revealed when the eight-episode finale of Breaking Bad airs this August,

To raise our expectations, AMC have released a ten-second teaser which, unfortunately, fails to reveal any footage or insight whatsoever. Then again, there really is no need for more audience enticement given the cliffhanger ending provided with Hank discovering, whilst sat on the loo, that his brother-in-law could indeed be the infamous Heisenberg he is so determined to put behind bars.

Although this is the end of Breaking Bad, that’s not entirely true as the show’s creator Vince Gilligan has confirmed that a spinoff centering on the criminally gifted lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) is in early development although no deals have been signed for the moment. Gilligan commented “My writer and producer, Peter Gould, who created the character of Saul way back in Season 2, he and I have been talking, trying to figure out what a Saul Goodman show would look like. What would be the details of it, the particulars of it? And we’re getting together to hash that out every chance we get.”

Gilligan went on to say that they are still deciding whether the show would be more succesful as a sequel or a prequel to Breaking Bad. “Do we tell the story of his origins? We’re still trying to hash that out. But there are a lot of fun possibilities.”

In the meantime, we’ll leave you with the absolutely spoiler-free promo trailer for the second half of the very last Breaking Bad season.
